6th EHF Referee Candidates Course
The sixth EHF Referee Candidates Course took place from 15 to 21 June 2009 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Six pairs and two guest participant couples took part in the course that was held parallel to the 4th European Universities Handball Championship. University of Ljubljana hosted the competition for the first time.
The referee candidates had to prove their physical, theoratical and practical abilities during the course. Physical and regulation tests were part of the course just as refereeing the games of the tournament.

The EHF lecturers will evaluate the performance of the EHF referee candidates and advise the EHF Competitions Commission on awarding the EHF status for the referees.
