Two more teams for Serbia

The Czech Republic and Norway qualify for the EHF's flagship national team event.

Two more teams for Serbia

Czech Republic – Netherlands 38:26 (22:13)

The 24:26 defeat in Greece on Wednesday was a clear failure for the team of world handball player, Filip Jicha.

But as expected, the Czechs qualified for Serbia on home ground with a clear victory over Netherlands on Saturday – the fourth success in the sixth match.

The hosts made an incredible start and had decided the game after only 19 minutes when the score was 11:1.

Even as the Netherlands improved later on they could not put any pressure on the Czechs in any way.

Top scorer was Horak with six goals. Jicha & Co. remain second in their group below Norway.

Norway – Greece 31:25 (17:12)

Norway will be one of the teams at the EHF EURO draw in Belgrade on Wednesday - to be shown live at ehf-euro.com.

Thanks to their fifth victory in their sixth match they won Group 6 clearly ahead of the Czechs.

Match winner for the Norwegians was goalkeeper Ole Erevik with 23 saves against the strong Greek team, which knew right at the start that their chances of qualifying for Serbia was low as the Czechs were on the winner’s way against Netherlands.

Thanks to their higher speed and stronger defence Norway were never in danger. Top scorer was Andre Lindboe with nine goals.
