The European Beach Tour Finals is back in Portugal!
The 2012 European Beach Tour (EBT) Finals will be taking place in Portugal on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June 2012. After the huge success of 2010 Finals in Espinho, northern Portugal, and the EBT Finals will take place in the southern resort of Lagoa in the Algarve.
16 teams (eight men and women) will play for the title with club teams ranked 1st-6th across Europe attending alongside the 2011 winners and wildcard teams.

EBT Finals are more than just the spectacular games however as two days before the start of the tournament, on Thursday 31 May, the 8th EHF Beach Handball Referee Course, the 7th Beach Handball Delegates’ Course and the 5th Beach Handball Coaches’ Course will take place.
The participants on the referee and delegate courses will also be those working at the EBT matches themselves.
Portuguese referees and coaches will also be present on the courses in order to gain further knowledge and experience of Beach Handball which the Federação de Andebol de Portugal continues to develop and support across Europe.
Hugo Pereira, Federação de Andebol de Portugal representative who will be responsible for the EBT Finals 2012, promises that for players, coaches, officials and fans alike, it will be an event to remember.
“Following the big success of the 2010 EBT Finals, the Portuguese Handball Federation are thrilled to organise, once again, this amazing event,” he said.
“In order to develop, even more, Beach Handball in Portugal, the Federação de Andebol de Portugal applied to host this event again and we received with enjoyment the news from the EHF that we could do it again.
“We will make this the best EBT Finals ever!”
