The 65 year old Frenchman was elected with a clear vote of confidence from the EHF nations, 48 out of the 49 eligible federation voted for him. "This vote means a big responsibility. The more votes you receive the bigger responsibility you feel. But I have to say I was well prepared for this position. We  want to make sure the the ongoing progress will continue and we also want to promote the position of women in handball."

Vice President - The position of Vice President has been filled by the Swedish candidate, Arne Elovsson. He received 41 votes (82 %). His only opponent, Reiner Witte from Germany received 9 votes. The Danish Handball Federation withdrew their candidate, Per Bertelsen, and the Swiss Handball Federation withdrew their candidate, Ulrich Rubeli.

Treasurer - Ralf Dejaco (ITA), the current Treasurer of the EHF, was re-elected to the position. He was the only candidate the new Treasurer of the EHF with 49 votes and 1 abstention (98 %).

Chairman Competitions Commission - The leaving chairman Jan Tuik (NED) will be replaced by Leopold Kalin (SLO) who gained 35 votes (70 %), the second candidate Jesus Guerrero (ESP) received 15 votes (30 %).

Chairman Methods Commission - Jerzy Elias (POL) will be the successor of the outgoing chairman František Táborský who is also leaving because of the age limit. As the only candidate, Táborský´s former colleague from the commission gathered 47 votes (95,92 %), 1 abstained and 1 was against.

Chairman Beach Handball Commission - Even the Beach Handball Commission will have a new chairman - Ole R. Jørstad (NOR) who outvoted 29:20 (59,18 % - 40,82 %) his predecessor László Sinka (HUN). "For me personally, the result of this vote means a new challenge. It will be a new and very important position with a chair in the Executive Committee. With László in the lead we had two successful years and we will continue with what we started. We have to try to make the product of beach handball even more attractive for media and sponsors and we also aim to get countries like France and many others started with this sport," Jørstad said.

Members of the EXEC - The other three members of the Executive Committee won the competition of 10 candidates - Per Bertelsen (DEN) and Predrag Bosković (MNE) both with 19 votes and Helga Magnusdottir (ISL) with 17. Three former candidates withdrew Lidija Bojić Ćaćić (CRO), Pandelis Chatziioannou (GRE), Bogdan Sojkin (POL) and Andrey Lavrov (RUS) as a late entry didn´t receive a necessary two third majority.
