KIF Copenhagen sign Andersson

Due to family reasons, Andersson left THW Kiel in the spring and was supposed to join AG Kobenhavn in the upcoming season. But since the Danish club went bankrupt, the right back had to look for a new club.

After getting various offers from clubs all across Europe and a financial attractive offer from Qatar, Andersson chose to join KIF Copenhagen, the newly formed club for the “whole of Denmark”.

“I had an offer from Barcelona, but this was too far away for me. I don’t want to be too far from Sweden,” said Andersson.

However, since the right back wants to participate in a European competition, he left Sweden and went to KIF Copenhagen. The Danish club is going to participate in the EHF Cup where they will meet London GD Handball Club in the first round of qualification.

Kasper Hvidt, Lars Jörgensen and Joachim Boldsen, also former players from AG, took part in the creation of this new club and will be on the same team with Andersson.
