22 teams will take to the courts in Partille, Sweden, from 1 to 5 July 2013
 

Groups for 2013 Men's 19 European Open confirmed

The European Handball Federation has confirmed the groups for the 2013 Men's 19 European Open in Partille, Sweden.

22 teams with players born 1994 or later will vie for the title and they will be seeded in four groups with two groups consisting of six and two groups consisting of five teams each.

The four groups have been drawn as follows:

Group A with Sweden, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland, and Belgium

Group B with Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Slovakia, Estonia, and Faroe Islands

Group C with Spain, Romania, Russia, Italy, and Lithuania

Group D with Austria, Norway, Iceland, Portugal, Israel, and Great Britain

In the preliminary round of the tournament each team will the other teams in its respective group.

Following the completion of the preliminary round, the teams ranked first and second advance to the main round.

Teams ranked third and fourth go thorugh to the intermediate round, while the fifth and sixth placed teams play the challenge round.

The playing dates for the entire championship are 1 July to 5 July
