100 reasons to visit the Men’s EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark - Part 10

We are rapidly approaching the throw-off for the 2014 Men's EHF European Championship in Denmark.

From 12 to 26 January next year 16 European teams will show the very best handball has on offer in their quest for the sport's European throne.

With the event reaching the 100-days-to-go-mark in the first week of October and to whet the fans' appetite, eurohandball.com has started publishing 100 reasons why you should not miss out on this highlight of the 2014 handball calendar.

The reasons will be published in groups of 10 over the coming days and every day one reason will also be published on the event's official Facebook page.

While some are truly sports-based, some have to be read tongue-in-cheek, but overall they will give a picture why the 2014 European Championship is worth a visit.

For anyone who can't wait to be part of the Men's EHF EURO 2014, tickets are just a click away.

Here come the final reasons 91 to 100 why you should not miss out on the Men's EHF EURO 2014:

Reason 91: To find out if Denmark will be the fourth hosts in Men’s EHF EURO history to reach at least the semi-final. Sweden achieved that feat in 2002, Slovenia in 2004 and Serbia in 2012.

Reason 92: To watch how successful some new coaches such as Poland's Michael Biegler and Spain's Manoel Cadenas are at their first major tournament on the bench.

Reason 93: To see the only current European Beach Handball Championship medallist, Danish wing player Hans Lindberg who won bronze in 2013, showing his skills indoors.

Reason 94: To sing along to the tunes of the official championship song.

Reason 95: To listen to the sounds of the famous Danish arena DJs.

Reason 96: To see the men’s teams of the joint 2014 Women’s EHF EURO hosts, Croatia and Hungary, taking to the court.

Reason 97: To see three nations which are represented by two coaches each: Sweden (Lindgren, Olsson/SWE, Hedin/NOR), Iceland (Kristjansson/ISL, Johanesson/AUT (pictured below)) and Croatia (Goluza/CRO, Obrvan/MKD).

Reason 98: To see several pairs of brothers taking the court such as the Toft Hansens, Henrik and Rene who play for Denmark, the Lijewskis, Marcin and Krzystof who play for Poland, the Rutenkas, Siarhei and Dzianis from Belarus, the Ivancsiks, Gergö and Tamas from Hungary, and the Lazarovs, Kiril and Filip who play for FYR Macedonia.

Reason 99: To reenact the famous scene of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark…"

Reason 100: To have fun and watch some amazing handball
