Last eight await Tuesday's quarter-final fate

Following the Last 16 exit of the defending winners of the VELUX EHF Champions League, SG Flensburg-Handewitt, the eight remaining teams of the European top flight, including record winners FC Barcelona or the three-time title holders THW Kiel will battle out the right to claim the vacant position.

For the last time in the current VELUX EHF Champions League season the focus of all handball fans will shift to Vienna on Tuesday 24 March as the Austrian capital will host the quarter-final draw.

The event will take place at 11:30 hrs at the Sky Studios in the Auhof Center and the VELUX EHF Champions League Quarter-final Draw will be preceded by the Men’s EHF Cup Quarter-final Draw (10:45 hrs) and the Women’s EHF EURO 2016 Qualification Phase 1 Draw (10:55 hrs).

Draw procedure

In four steps the Pot 2 teams (winners of 3 vs 2) - PSG Handball, Zagreb, Szeged and Vardar will be drawn against the Pot 1 teams (winners of 4 vs 1) - Kiel, Barcelona, Veszprem and Kielce. The Pot 2 teams will host the first leg matches.

There will be no country protection for the two Hungarian teams and the teams from the same group of this season's group phase can also meet each other.

The first quarter-final leg is scheduled for 8-12 April, the second leg will be played on 15-19 April. The four winning teams qualify for the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4.

The draw will be live streamed on ehfTV.com with commentary from Tom O'Brannagain and also shown live on the official German broadcaster Sky Sport Deutschland. The live streaming will be followed by interviews and reactions from team representatives.

A live ticker will go online on Tuesday morning on eurohandball.com and the event will also be extensively covered on the official Twitter channel of the VELUX EHF Champions League @ehfcl.
