Good omen for Vranjes, Atman's return to Belarus

The European season may be over, but there are plenty of stories to keep track of over the summer months. ehfcl.com keeps you in the loop with a weekly overview of the latest news, both serious and light, up until September.

SG Flensburg-Handewitt coach Ljubomir Vranjes counts himself a fan of photography. Recently, he proved he possesses not only great talent to lead his boys to the VELUX EHF Champions League.

On the way to his homeland, Sweden for Partille Cup, the biggest youth tournament of its kind, Vranjes captured a breathtaking view from the plane above Denmark.

Many wonder whether this golden path on his piece of art could be seen as a good omen before the new season starts...

A picture taking over #Denmark from the plane yesterday. I liked the golden river, it was really beautiful. #followyourpath #gold

Vranjes's stalwart from Flensburg Mattias Andersson is currently dealing with more down-to-earth topics. The evergreen goalkeeper admits he would not refuse a slightly longer break between the seasons.

Danish left back ace spotted in Barcelona!

Stay calm - this is far to become a hot transfer news. While most players are enjoying last days before their training at clubs commences, KIF Kolding Kobenhavn back court ace Lasse Andersson wasted no time to get his knee fixed at a specialist in the Catalan capital.

Atman returns to Belarus

After spells with Chekhovskie Medvedi and HC Metalurg Pavel Atman found his way back to Belarus, where the Russian centre back already plied his trade for Dinamo Minsk in the past. HC Meshkov Brest can boast his fresh signing as one of the biggest favourites of the Group C are bolstering their squad before the start of the new season.

The team also lured the former coach of Dinamo Minsk and Motor Zaporozhye Sergey Bebeshko and Latvian giant Dainis Kristopans, with 217 cm one of the tallest players in the competition.

Györ to start preparations on 16 July

The 2013 and 2014 EHF Champions League winners Györi Audi ETO KC face a stern test early in the new season as they have to fight for their place in the new season in the qualification tournament.

Their head coach Ambros Martin is still enjoying family time back in his home at Canary Islands, however he already set the start of the preparation.

"We meet for the first time on 16 July and I would like to invite all our fans to an open training," he revealed in an interview for the official club's website.

Soon after his team will move to Rogla mountain resort in Slovenia for summer drills. As he will welcome seven new players in the squad the team building is bound to be an important part of summer activities for the Hungarian powerhouse.
