Newcomers arrive first to Budapest to get the first taste of the Women's EHF FINAL4

The four best teams of the Women’s EHF Champions League have already congregated in Budapest, the hosting city of the season’s final tournament Women’s EHF FINAL4.

They all came from different directions – two from east, one from west and one from south – but with the exactly same objective: to claim the most coveted trophy of women’s club handball in front of the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna sold-out crowd this Sunday.

Already on Wednesday evening the only newcomers of this year’s edition, Rostov-Don, were the quickest to arrive to the Hungarian capital to allow themselves much needed time to settle down.

While the other three teams followed them on Thursday, the Russian team, whose journey to the FINAL4 led through the Budapest-based club FTC in the quarter-finals, have already ticked off the first training unit.

2016 winners CSM Bucuresti started their stay in the Hotel Aquincum on the right bank of the Danube river with a team photo.

Last year’s finalists were the last two teams to arrive at the Women’s EHF FINAL4 as runners-up HC Vardar were followed by defending champions Györi Audi ETO KC.

A rich run-down awaits the four squads on Friday as they will not only try to finalise their preparations for Saturday's semi-finals, but will also take part in a special event at one of Budapest's main landmarks. At the Heroes' Square they will meet the fans and also be at the disposal of journalists at the media call.
