Györ superstars help decide Women’s 19 EHF EURO 2019 groups

Györi Audi ETO KC players Stine Oftedal, Nycke Groot, Anita Görbicz and Amandine Leynaud were on hand to decide the fate of the next generation of stars in the Women’s 19 EHF EURO 2019 draw event.

Tuesday’s event at Györ Townhall also saw EHF Executive Committee Member Gabriella Horvath and Hungarian Handball Federation Vice-president Katalin Pálinger assist the EHF’s Senior Manager National Team Competitions Peter Sichelschmidt with the draw.

Defending champions France will face Russia, a country which always produces fine youth teams, in Group A. Women’s 17 EHF EURO champions two years ago, Germany, face reigning silver medallists Denmark in the highlight of Group B.

Hosts Hungary will take on Spain, Montenegro and neighbours Austria in Group C, while we can look forward to a Scandinavian derby between Norway and Sweden in Group D.

The Women's 19 EHF EURO 2019 will take place at Audi Aréna Győr on 11-21 July.
