Safety in Sports - Handball Injury Study

The European Handball Federation (EHF) in cooperation with the Czech (CZE) and Norwegian (NOR) Handball Federations have become project partners of the Ruhr University Bochum (GER) that carried out a European pilot study on handball injury prevention together with the European Network for Sports Injury Prevention in 2009.

The results were presented by the project group on 18 November 2011.

On the some date the EHF carried out the 2011 EHF Scientific Conference in Vienna (AUT), the documentation of which contains articles relating to the study by Patrick Luig and Thomas Henke from the Ruhr University in Bochum(GER).
