New beach handball logo unveiled

When the 2013 European Beach Handball Tour and the 2013 Beach Handball European Championship in Denmark throw off in June and July next year, all the action will be performed under a new logo.

When the European Handball Federation decided to give itself a new logo from 1 July 2012 onwards, the former beach handball logo, which had been branding all competitions between 2008 and 2012, subsequently needed to be redesigned as well.

Several proposals were submitted for selection, but in the end the Beach Handball Commission made an unanimous decision.

"The new logo is nicely structured, easy to understand and clearly represents the characteristics of our sport," said Peter Fröschl, senior manager responsible for beach handball.

"We furthermore think that the implementation of the new EHF logo into the Beach Handball logo has been very well done."

The full rights for the use of the logo lie within the EHF.
