The VELUX EHF Champions League has reached the final round of the Group Phase and it couldn't be more exciting! Eight teams are fighting it out for five remaining places in the Last 16. The stars of the men's game are back in action this week as the VELUX EHF Champions League reaches the eighth round. There's another tense few days ahead with three more teams able to secure their place in the Last 16.

There's exciting transfer news this week too, with both THW Kiel in Germany and KS Vive Targi Kielce in Poland announcing the signing of top players to their squads for next season.

Europe's best prepare for semi-finals

The EHF Women's Champions League has reached the semi-finals stage. This weekend's first leg matches see C.S. Oltchim Rm. Valcea take on Györi AUDI ETO KC and Larvik play Buducnost.

Fans can follow the action live at ehfTV.com on Saturday (Larvik vs. Buducnost, 16.45 CET) and Sunday (Valcea vs Györi 17.00 CET).

In the men's competition, the draw for the next round of the VELUX EHF Champions League was made on Tuesday, 27 March in Vienna. The playing times for the Quarter-finals have been released and are available at ehfCL.com.

Last 16 beckons for Europe's top teams

Welcome to the first leg of the VELUX EHF Champions League Last 16. Over the next few days there are some exciting clashes in store, including the all-German match between Füchse Berlin and HSV Hamburg and reigning champions, FC Barcelona Intersport, who play Montpellier Agglomeration.

Orlen Wisla Plock and THW Kiel open proceedings this evening - Wednesday 14 March - with their match being shown live with German commentary at ehfTV.com from 20.00 hrs (CET).

Fans of Match of the Day with full commentary in English are also in for a treat as we bring you HC Metalurg against Croatia Osiguranje Zagreb, live from a sold-out arena in Skopje.

Budućnost from Montenegro reached their first EHF Women's Champions League Final when they defeated current title holders Larvik from Norway. In the other semi-final, Györi Audi ETO KC from Hungary overturned a deficit against Romanian side C.S. Oltchim Rm. Valcea to progress through to play for honours in the two-leg final which takes place in May.

This weekend sees the second leg matches of the EHF Women's Champions League 2011/12 semi-finals in Hungary and Montenegro.
 
Current holders Larvik will hope to overturn their two-goal deficit against Budućnost, who are looking to reach their first-ever EHF Women's Champions League Final.

Györi and Budućnost face off in Veszprem

The EHF Women's Champions League Finals are here, with the first leg taking place in Veszprem, Hungary on Saturday 5 May.  In their first EHF Women's Champions League Final, Budućnost (MNE) will face Györi Audi ETO KC (HUN), and both sides will be hoping to take an advantage into the second leg on Sunday 13 May in Montenegro. Watch the first leg match live from 17.15 CET on Saturday.

The draw for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2012 at the LANXESS arena in Cologne, Germany on 26-27 May has been made, and the matches and times are now known.
