Brazil have won both titles at the fifth Men's and Women's Beach Handball World Championships 2012 at the Musannah Sports City.

Brazilian men show their class

Brazil showed their mettle just when it mattered most, defeating the strong contender Ukraine 2:1 in the final match of the men's event.

Brazil won 6:2 on penalties.

Ukraine kept Brazil under pressure in the first half of the match.

They won the first period 19:18 with a golden goal strike after the regulation period ended on 18:18.

In the second half, Brazil clawed their way back into the game like true champions, winning 18:15 to ensure the match went to penalties.

Brazilian women take gold in style

The Brazilian women cast a spell on their opponents Denmark in the final, winning 2:0 and taking home the all-important title.

Brazil blanked out Denmark 20:10 in the first period and then showed its dominance in the second period as well, winning 17:14 to wrap up a one-sided win in the final encounter.
