Cooperation visit in Kosovo

On 19-20 March 2009, the President of the European Handball Federation, Tor Lian, and Secretary General Michael Wiederer have visited the Associated Federation of Kosovo.

The meeting, that has long been planned, was an opportunity for the EHF delegation to meet with the representatives of the Kosovo Handball Federation, public authorities, and to discuss a number of important matters.

The backbone of the agenda was given by the status of Kosovo in European handball and the common activities of EHF and the Kosovo Handball Federation.

Based on its status, the Kosovo Handball Federation has been part of EHF club competitions with teams and match officials, and is involved in development programmes.

The EHF delegation will report to the Executive Committee to define next steps.
