European Beach Tour Finals throw off on 1 June 2013

The European Handball Federation has started the registration process for the 10th European Beach Tour (ebt) Finals

The 16-team tournament, eight men's and eight women's teams are eligible to participate, will take place on 1 and 2 June 2013 in Umag, Croatia, and is organised by the EHF in cooperation with Hravtski Rukometni Savez and the city of Umag.

Following the beach handball philosophy, the ebt Finals are a competition that is simply structured, with easy rules, a lot of sun and high level matches based on the fair play spirit.

The first six nations based on the 2012 ebt ranking (plus one wildcard for the co-organiser, plus the reigning champions of the previous ebt Finals if registered for the respective ebt season) have the first right to participate.

Thus the teams nominated for this year's ebt Finals are as follows

Please note: The EHF Beach Handball Commission decided to use the ebt Finals for a rule experiment - all 10 players are eligible to play (not only eight out of 10 as noted in the rules).

Registration deadline for all teams is 15 April 2013.

The complete invitational document is available for download.

Further information can also be found on the official ebt website.
