European Cup: first rounds drawn
European clubs and their fans were looking towards Vienna once again. The 2009/10 European Cup season - not including the EHF CL - will involve a total of 228 teams from all over the continent; 169 of them were already interested in the first draw event of the EC season that took place in the EHF Headquarters today.

Unlike other competitions, the Men’s and Women’s Challenge Cup will begin with group matches. The organisation rights of these group matches were also decided by draw:
