Lian: “Together We Are Handball!”

After two days the 10th Ordinary EHF Congress was closed by EHF President Tor Lian, who was very satisfied with the event.

eurohandball.com: Are you satisfied with the outcome?

Tor Lian: The 2010 EHF Congress was a very successful one: we had a very open dialogue on the different items which resulted in positive decisions with a clear majority. In addition to the foreseen formal procedures, the EHF has presented interesting initiatives from the technical level.

eurohandball.com: What is new after the Congress?

Tor Lian: The Congress approved the organisers for future championships and interesting draws for the Younger Age Category Championships were carried out. Last but not least – elections took place – presenting new members of Committees and Boards for the next two years.

eurohandball.com: What is your conclusion of the 10th EHF Congress?

Tor Lian: This EHF Congress is the platform that has finalized a two-year period of governing handball in Europe. At the same time, we are already in the middle of the 2010/2011 season – clearly showing the continuous cycle of our work. I would like to thanks to every participant of the Congress – the organizing staff as well as the representatives of our Member Federations – for having been in Copenhagen, for participating and once again, for reminding us that “Together We Are Handball!”
