Logo for Women's EHF EURO 2016 revealed

Two years before the Women's EHF EURO 2016 throws off in Sweden on 4 December 2016, the local organisers have already revealed the championship's logo.

The logo's elements are handpainted and they stand for the game's momentum and speed, while they also depict the elegant as well as tough moments of handball.

The championship's slogan is „Pure heart. All hands.“

"It’s a powerful feeling being allowed to represent Sweden in Sweden! I hope to celebrate in front of a big audience,“ says national team player Hanna Fogelström.

The launch of the logo also coincided with the Swedish national team's two last test matches ahead of the Women's EHF EURO 2014 in Hungary and Croatia.

Sweden seem to be in fine form as they beat world champions Brazil 35:27 on 2 December and 26:20 on 4 December.

The Women's EHF EURO 2016 will be played in five venues across the country.

Stockholm, Kristianstad, Malmo, Helsingborg will host the preliminary round matches, Helsingborg and Gothenburg will be the main round venues, and the final weekend will also take place in the Scandinavium in Gothenburg.

This is the second time after 2006 that Sweden hosts a Women's EHF EURO event.
