Meetings in the EHF

A series of meetings are taking place this week at the EHF Headquarters, Vienna.

Committee work

The Men’s Club Committee and the Men’s National Team Committee members arrived on Monday, 17 November, to exchange ideas on the areas of club and national team competitions. On Tuesday, the two bodies held a joint meeting to commonly address the most important matters related to both fields.

Similarly to the men’s committees, the Women’s Club Committee and National Team Committee held meetings over two days on 18-19 November.

The men’s and women’s committees discussed a number of important questions. Priority on the agenda was given to the international handball calendar and to the insurance and financial aspects of players taking part at national team competitions.

EURO workshop

On 18 November, the delegation of the Serbian Handball Federation – led by President Velimir Marjanovic – visited the EHF for the 1st Men’s EHF EURO (2011) 2012 workshop. The basic questions related to the EURO organisation were addressed, including the overall timelines, preparations, TV matters, Final Tournament draw, etc.

Champions League

Wednesday, 19 November will see two meetings with the Champions League in the focus. First, EHF/EHF Marketing will meet marketing partner Sportfive.

In the afternoon European Volleyball Federation (CEV) representative, Administrative Director Olivier Mottier, will arrive in Vienna. This will be an occasion for the two Federations to share valuable experience gained in the EHF Champions League and in the CEV Indesit Champions League.

adidas

EHF partner adidas, represented by Gerrit Pfurr, will also visit the EHF HQ on Thursday, 20 November. The focus will be on the upcoming EHF EURO 2008 in FYR Macedonia.
