Pineau and Vardar part ways

Macedonian champions WHC Vardar SCBT released on official statement on Wednesday to announce that the French left back Allison Pineau is no longer part of the club. According to the club, both sides agreed to mutual termination of the contract which was valid until 2016.

This season Pineau has yet to participate in the any of the Women’s EHF Champions League matches after undergoing knee surgery.

In the previous season, the World Handball Player of the Year 2009 was one of the leading players in Vardar, scoring 30 goals and helping Vardar to a third place finish at the MVM EHF FINAL4.

The former player of Metz and Issy-les-Moulineaux signed for Vardar in the summer of 2013 after one season at Oltchim Valcea.
