Sweden and Netherlands top Group II after first main round matches in Zagreb
The Main Round Group II is looking to be a close one with two teams on five and two teams on four points after the first round of matches has been played.
On Sunday defending champions Montenegro took a convincing 27:20 win against Germany to bring their points tally up to four.
France, who had topped Group D in the preliminary round, remain on four points after they lost to Sweden 26:29.
The Scandinavian squad now tops this second main round group with five points together with Netherlands who recorded a never-threatened 30:20 win against Slovakia.
Germany and Slovakia have no further chances to proceed at the Women's EHF EURO 2014.
The next matches in Group II are being played on Tuesday with Netherlands facing Montenegro, Sweden playing Slovakia and Germany meeting France.
