Three fresh faces for a new and improved Buducnost T-Mobile

The period of vacation is almost over for Buducnost T-Mobile. After a very good season in the Champions League getting to the Main Round, the Montenegro champions will begin their preparation for the next season beginning on August 2nd.

During the summer, the club’s management worked very hard to reinforce the team and so far have done a good job, because three new top quality players will be joining the team for the coming season. The three new stars of the Buducnost show are Hungarian line player Piroska Szamoransky, coming from Budapest Bank FTC and Györ; Lidija Horvat, the Croatian right back, who played last season in Romania with Rumentul Brasov having come from Lokomotiva and Podravka; and left wing Dragana Pecevska, coming from Kometal. The only problem seems to be the knee injury that is currently plaguing Szamoranski, forcing her to sit out the first part of the season.

Drafted in to lessen the impact of the absence of a few players who are out due to injury and to give Coach Gyula Zsiga the opportunity to use more players on the court in the aims to keep the same rhythm of the game, Szamoranski and Horvat both signed a two-year contract, while Pecevska committed herself to the club for only for one.

Left wing Vinka Vlahovic and back player Jovana Jovovic are free to find a new club, while goalkeeper Mirjana Milenkovic, left wing Sladjana Grozdanic and some of the younger players were given on loan to Biseri, the club who just entered the first Montenegro division and will play a Regional league.

“As far as the management of the club is concerned, we have completed the task, so no new players will be coming to Buducnost.” said Predrag Boskovic, the president of Buducnost T-Mobile.

In the preparation period Buducnost will play three international tournaments, in Hungary, Germany and Slovenia. And in the mean time, Buducnost extended the sponsorship contract with T-Mobile, bringing the length of the relationship between T-Mobile and Buducnost to eight years. The prolongation of the partnership will give Buducnost the chance to Buducnost to improve the results in the Champions League, as they try to enter the semi-finals of CL in the 2009/2010 season.

“We thank T-Mobile, not only because they are a great sponsor, but also because in these difficult times, they have found a way to support us. I hope we will meet their expectations. Our ambitions in the new season are to make a step forward in CL, and I hope we will do so”, added the president of Buducnost T-Mobile.
