Top four European teams in Randers will make it to 2014 Beach Handball World Championship

When the 2013 European Beach Handball Championship throws off on 9 July in Randers, Denmark, it is not only the European crown that will be at stake but also four places for both the participating men's and women's teams at the 2014 Beach Handball World Championship.

The top four teams in the final ranking in the women's as well as in the men's event will directly qualify for the tournament.

Venues and the exact playing dates for this event are yet to be further defined.

Overall 13 European teams each in the men's and the women's competition will vie for those four places on the sandy shores of Randers from 9 to 14 July 2013.

Two years ago, at the 2011 European Beach Handball Championship in Umag, Croatia ranked first ahead of Russia, Spain, and Ukraine in the men's event.

In the women's competition it was also the team from Croatia, that won gold, ahead of Denmark, Italy and Norway.
