Alex Phillips, Head of Professional Football Services of UEFA arrived to the 9th Ordinary EHF Congress as a special guest to present topics relating to the European sports model, current EU matters, the status of sport in Europe and also the UEFA approaches to these matters.

The presentation of Alex Phillips gave brief information on the document submitted to the EU in July, “Safeguarding the Heritage and Future of Team Sport in Europe”.

The high profile UEFA representative also described the cooperation between the UEFA and the stakeholders in European football, the agreement between the football governing body and the clubs.

At the end of his speech, Mr. Phillips emphasised the importance of the continued cooperation in the European Team Sport Federations to be able to speak about common problems with one voice.
