Women´s EHF Challenge Cup Round 2 preview

The new season of the Women´s EHF Challenge Cup will start during upcoming weekend 12-14 October with matches of the Round 2.

Both legs of the match between Kosovan KHF Kastrioti and Serbian ŽRK Maks-Sport Nova Pazova will be played in Szeged, Hungary on Friday 12 October (18:00 hrs local time), respectively Saturday 13 October (13:30 hrs local time).

The second pair of the Round 2 consists of VS Enosi Neoleas Athienou from Cyprus and GAS Anagennisi Artas from Greece, first leg will be played on Sunday 14 October (18:00 hrs local time) in Cyprus and the second leg on Sunday 21 October (18:00 hrs local time).

16 teams are seeded for the Round 3 and seven for the Last 16.

The trophy holders of the previous season HAC Havre from France participate in the Women´s EHF Cup this season, but two other French winners of this competition are involved. HBC Nimes who triumphed in 2001 and 2009 will enter the Round 3 and the winners of 2011 edition Mios Biganos are among seeded teams of the Last 16.
