Women’s EHF Champions League 2012/13

Meeting ahead of the EHF Congress in Monaco, the EHF Executive Committee has confirmed the teams playing in the Women’s EHF Champions League for the coming season.

With fourteen teams in the qualification phase, there will be three qualification tournaments with four teams in each.

There will also be knock-out match (played home and away) between one team in the group ranked 13-16 and a team from the group ranked 23-26.

In an additional qualification tournament, the teams of Issy Paris Handball (FRA), Zvezda (RUS) and HC Leipzig (GER) will play for a place in the Group Matches. 

The Spanish champion, Vivir Itxako Balonmano, has announced that it will not be playing in the Women's Champions League in the 2012/13 season.

The draw for the VELUX EHF Champions League and Women’s EHF Champions League qualification phases will be held in Vienna on 3 July 2012.

The draw for the VELUX EHF Champions League Group Phase and Women’s EHF Champions League will take place at the headquarters of adidas in Herzogenaurach on Friday 6 July 2012.
