The Norwegian port of Larvik is busy preparing for the arrival of Europe’s top men’s and women’s beach handball players as it plays host to the 6th European Beach Handball Championships from Tuesday 23 June to Sunday 28 June.
World Championship places are also up for grabs, adding extra importance to the event, with four teams in both the men’s and women’s competitions qualifying for the 2010 World Championships in Turkey.

Beach handball fans across Europe and worldwide will be able to watch the action live thanks to live streaming of the event via the Norwegian Handball Federation’s dedicated beach site at www.beachhandball.no.

Norway’s handball-mad fans will certainly not be disappointed when they make the trip to Larvik, organisers are promising a huge beach party, with up to 2400 spectators watching the championships live on the beach arena’s main court.
Viewers at home can also see the finals live courtesy of Norwegian television’s TV2, with the women’s final being shown on Sunday 28 June at 15.05 and then men’s at 16.00.
