The first leg matches of the semifinals in the Challenge Cup, Cup Winner's Cup and EHF Cup were played this weekend.
Women's European Cup semifinals
This weekend the first leg matches of the semifinals of the Women’s Challenge Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup and EHF Cup were played. While most of the duels remain open, some fixtures saw clear victories.
2010/11 Women's Challenge Cup – semifinals
The Challenge Cup saw the closest results. The Turkish side Muratpasa Belediyesi managed to win in the Netherlands with a one goal margin which lets hope for the final grow big in Antalya. In the second semifinal, a duel of two French teams, Nimes – currently third in the French league – also won with one goal over Mios Biganos – currently fifth in the league. Nothing seems certain yet in this competition, all decisions will be made in the second leg matches next weekend.

2010/11 Women's Cup Winner’s Cup – semifinals
The Budapest side FTC managed to get into a very good position before the second leg game with a four-goal victory over Metz in the away game in France. The second semi-final seems closer, despite the home team Lugi taking a two-goal victory over their Spanish counterparts from Alicante. The second placed team in the Swedish league will face a tough fight next weekend in Alicante at the team currently ranked fifth in Spain.

2010/11 Women's EHF Cup – semifinals
With an impressive eight-goal victory over the German side from Oldenburg, the Danish team FC Midtjylland are in a comfortable position in the race for the finals. The fifth of the German league will have to improve before the home game next weekend in order to stay turn the duel. In the second semifinal, the second Danish team lost with six goals to Lada Togliatti in a difficult away game in Russia. Lada is now in the better position to go through.
