Youth and Junior World Championships awarded

The XXXIII Ordinary Congress of the International Handball Federation (IHF) has awarded four major tournaments.

Youth and Junior World Championships awarded

The XXXIII Ordinary Congress of the International Handball Federation (IHF) took place on 03/04 May in Marrakech, Morocco. At this event the following major handball tournaments were awarded by the Congress:

  • Women’s Youth World Championship 2012 to Montenegro
  • Men’s Junior World Championship 2013 to Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Women’s Junior World Championship 2014 to Croatia
  • Women’s Youth World Championship 2014 to FYR Macedonia

The IHF Council will decide on the organisers of the Men’s Youth World Championship 2013 and also the Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championships in 2014.

Following Qatar’s successful application for the organization of the 2015 Men’s World Championship, the country was also awarded the contract for hosting the XXXIV Ordinary IHF Congress in 2013.
