On Tuesday 24 July 2012 at 11:00hrs (local time) the Qualification Europe for the 2013 Women’s World Championship in Serbia will be drawn at the EHF Headquarters, Vienna (AUT). The draw decides the fixtures for Qualification Phase 1. It will take place at the same time as the draw of the European Cups.

Due to the withdrawal of Great Britain, the draw procedure has been updated.

10 of the 24 teams at the Final Tournament in Serbia will come from Europe. Defending champion, Norway, and the organiser, Serbia, are already qualified for the event.

In Qualification Phase 1, there will be three groups of four teams and one group of three teams. The qualification phase 1 will be played over three weeks in home and away matches starting in October 2012 with round 1 and 2.
