Five teams can take the Last 16 almost for granted after clear victories in the first leg.
Dozen tickets to Women´s EHF Cup Last 16 still up for grabs
Twelve slots are still open for the Women´s EHF Cup Last 16 before the second weekend (17-18 November) of Round 3.
The draw of the last sixteen will take place on 20 November at 11:00 hrs local time in Vienna´s EHF headquarters.
And several strong teams have already secured their berths in the next stage as 2002 and 2011 trophy holders from Denmark´s FC Midtjylland Handball, last season´s runners-up from Romania´s HC Zalau and the reigning winners of the EHF Cup from Russia´s Lada Togliatti qualified together with Macedonia´s ŽRK Vardar.
Before the second leg matches five outfits can also take their trip to the Last 16 almost for granted.
If Danish Team Tvis Holstebro keep firing on all cylinders as they were in their previous three matches in the EHF Cup with an awesome 45 goals per match average, the re-match against Sweden´s Lugi on the home court should be only a formal confirmation of their 39:24 victory from the first leg.
Also, last season´s Women's EHF Challenge Cup winners HAC Havre from France, Norway´s Tertnes Bergen and Slovenia´s RK GEN-I Zagorje and Russia´s Astrakhanochka should enter the next stage easily as they all bring double digits cushion to the second leg.
On the contrary, the record French champions from Metz Handball face much more challenging mission as they lost in the first leg to the Hungarian side ETV-Érdi VSE by six goals.
The Spanish title holders Grupo Asfi Itxako Navarra are heavy favorites against AC Latsia despite the fact they will play both matches on the court of their opponents in Cyprus.
