Stord visiting former Champions League finalists
In the semi-finals of the Men's Challenge Cup two Portuguese teams have the chance to proceed to the final.
In the first semi-final on Saturday at 16:00 hrs local time Liberty Seguros ABC/UMinho, who reached the EHF Champions League final back in 1994, will face the Norwegian club Stord Handball.
The team of Danish coach Jesper Holm will travel with a very international squad to Portugal for the first leg match as Stord count players of six different nationalities.
S. L. Benfica will travel to Romania in the second semi-final to compete with Handbal club Odorhei for a place in the final.
While Benfica have already reached the final of the tournament in 2011, playing a semi-final in a European competition is a completely new experience to their hosts in the first leg.
The first leg match will take place in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania on Sunday at 18:00 hrs local time.
