Qualification route to the U17 World Championships and Youth Olympic Games in Argentina announced


All roads lead to Buenos Aires

Teams taking part in the EHF Younger Age Category Beach Handball Championship in Portugal in July 2016 will have more to play for than just European gold.

The top four finishers will qualify for the IHF U17 World Championship in 2017 to be played in a venue yet to be announced by the International Handball Federation.

The top three European nations at the World Championship will then qualify to play in Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina as beach handball makes its debut in the competition programme.

The Youth Olympics will be played 1-12 October 2018.

The YAC Beach Handball Championship will be hosted by the Portuguese Handball Federation in Nazare, 120 km north of Lisbon, from 8 to 10 July 2016.

The YAC Championship will be played with the under 16 age category.
