NEWS: Balatonfüredi KSE coach to lead Hungary for the upcoming clashes against Slovakia and Italy
István Csoknyai takes charge of Hungary for opening EHF EURO 2020 Qualifiers
The Hungarian Handball Federation announced István Csoknyai as head coach of the Hungarian men’s national team for the opening two matches of EHF EURO 2020 Qualification.
After Ljubomir Vranjes lost his job as Veszprém coach, the Hungarian Federation terminated his contract by mutual agreement. Balatonfüredi KSE coach Csoknyai, who was Hungary coach at EHF EURO 2010, has been tasked with guiding the team through matches against Slovakia on 24 October and Italy three days later.
After these clashes, the situation will be overviewed and a decision made on the permanent coach to coach the team at January’s World Championship and the rest of the upcoming qualification campaign.
