Bjørn Olav Skofteby dies

Bjørn Olav Skofteby worked for the European Handball Federation in Vienna from October 1996 to June 1997. His field of activity was administration of refereeing matters and organising courses for referees and delegates.

After working for the EHF, he moved back to Norway, never losing the contact to his former colleagues and friends. He remained actively involved in handball as delegation leader of Norwegian teams at many events.

We lost a dear friend when he died on 29 January 2009 after a long period of illness. The European Handball Federation expresses sincere condolences to the family of Bjørn.
