Quarter-finals review of the Women´s Challenge Cup, first leg

Croatia´s team Fantasyland Samobor moved closest to the semi-finals of the Women´s Challenge over the last weekend as they won 25:17 on the court of ŽRK Zrinjski Mostar 25:17.

The second leg is scheduled for the upcoming weekend 16/17 March.

Polish side KKS Kielce agreed to play both legs on the court of the Turkish outfit Üsküdar B.S.K. in Istanbul during the second weekend.

H 65 Höör (SWE) vs HBC Nimes (FRA) 25:24 (12:16)

The former winners of Challenge Cup from Nimes squandered a several goals lead in the second half as Höör´s Jasmina Djapanović proved her shooting skills in the third match in a row. The Serbian right back scored 13 goals and in the last three matches she already piled up 38 goals.

ŽRK "Zrinjski" Mostar (BIH) vs Fantasyland Samobor (CRO) 17:25 (11:10)

Croatian visitors ruled in the the first part of the ex-Yugoslavian derby bringing from Mostar an impressive eight goal lead.

HK Baník Most (CZE) vs AZS Politechnika Koszalin (POL) 26:23 (11:12)

Baník were trailing at the half-time by one goal, but still managed to keep their winning streak in the European Cup alive as they beat Koszalin from Poland by three goals. The towering Czech international Hana Martínková scored 8 goals for the hosts.
