HC Zalau clinched the semi-final berth in the Women´s EHF Cup on Monday as the Romanian club won both matches against Spanish champions from Itxako easily. In other pairing all home teams avoid any setbacks at their own expenses and created a comfortable position before the second leg, which will take place over the next weekend (16/17 March).

After the first leg, Astrakhanochka is seven goals closer to the Romanian trip as they beat the consistent French representative in the EHF club competitions.
