THW Kiel, VELUX EHF Champions League winners 2011/12 and defending Super Globe champions, and Atletico Madrid will represent Europe in the IHF Super Globe. Which will take place in Doha, Qatar from 27 August – 1 September 2012.

The official draw for the Super Globe will take place in Doha, capital of Qatar, on 23 June at 18:00 (local time).

The eight teams to have qualified for the event are:

1.    THW Kiel (defending champion)
2.    Al-Sadd club Doha (organiser)
3.    Al-Jaish club Doha (Qatar wild card)
4.    Metodista Sao Bernardo (Brazil, Pan-America)
5.    University of Sydney (Australia, Oceania)
6.    Mudhar (Saudi Arabia, Asia)
7.    Al-Zamallek (Egypt, Africa)
8.    Atletico Madrid (Spain, Europe)
