Women’s EHF Champions League qualification draw on 3 July

The draw for the qualification phase of the Women’s EHF Champions League will be held on 3 July 2012 from 11.00 hrs. The draw can be followed live on the eurohandball.com live ticker and also via the @EHFMedia Twitter Channel.

Draw procedure

14 teams will take part in the qualification phase. The draw will be made from four pots. A complete overview can be downloaded here.

Pot 1:
Byasen Trondheim (NOR)
FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria (HUN)
U Jolidon Cluj (ROU)
Viborg HK (DEN)

Pot 2:
Balonmano Bera Bera (ESP)
Rostov-Don (RUS)
Buxtehuder SV (GER)

Pot 3:
Vistal Laczpol Gdynia POL)
Dalfsen (NED)
RK Zajecar (SRB)

Pot 4:
WHC Metalurg (MKD)
Muratpasa BSK Antalya (TUR)
IUVENTA Michalovce (SVK)
LC Brühl (SUI)

The pots will be drawn as follows:

Pot 4 to row 4 (three teams only – one remaining), pot 3 to row 3, pot 2 to row 2, pot 1 to row 1 (three teams only – one remaining). 

The two remaining teams from pot 1 and pot 4 will play a knock-out match (on a home and away basis). A draw will be made for the home right in the second leg.

Qualification Tournaments will be played 21/22 September 2012 with semi-finals played on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The winner of each event goes through to the Group Matches.

Additional qualification

Issy Paris Handball, Zvezda and HC Leipzig will play a further qualification round on a round robin basis with the winner taking a place in the Group Matches of the competition.

Draw for Group Matches

The draw for the Group Matches of the Women's EHF Champions League will be made in Herzogenaurach, home of adidas, on Friday, 6 July 2012 with live streaming from the event.
