Kiel case closed

The EHF Court of Handball officially closed the investigation of manipulation allegations regarding the 2006/07 EHF Champions League Final, 2nd leg, THW Kiel vs SG Flensburg Handewitt on Wednesday.

With decisions of the public court in Kiel on 26 January 2012 (manipulation) and 11 April 2013 (breach of trust) the accusations were fully dismissed and the proceedings closed. All alleged parties were found not guilty.

Following the results of the investigations within the EHF and taking into account the conclusions at the Kiel public court, the EHF Court of Handball has officially ceased the investigation proceeding. This decision is final.

The investigation was initiated on 23 April 2009 and the case was seized the EHF Arbitration Tribunal, the predecessor of the EHF Court of Handball.
