National federations of Lithuania and Montenegro fined

The Court of Handball has decided to impose fines of €5000 on the national federations of Lithuania and Montenegro for having infringed the applicable regulations as regards advertising set-up in matches organised within the frame of the Women’s EHF EURO 2018 Qualifiers.

Both national federations failed to ensure that advertising boards were set-up on three sides of the playing court despite having received warnings following the two first matches they hosted.

Part of each fine is imposed on a suspended basis of two years, the amount of which has been adapted to the specificities of each case.

Each national federation may file an appeal with the Court of Appeal within seven days.
