New key visual revealed

Just before the focus of the whole handball world shifts to the EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia, EHF Marketing GmbH has revealed the new key visual for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2018. The four best teams of Europe’s premium competition will descend on the LANXESS arena in Cologne on 26 and 27 May to battle out the most coveted trophy in club handball.

Following a successful development of the graphic appearance in the VELUX EHF Champions League and key visuals in the previous season, this year’s progress takes another step forward as the new key visual for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2018 is optically tailor-cut for campaigns of the current season.

The European top flight is saluting its 25th anniversary season in 2017/18 and the celebration will culminate at the final tournament in Cologne.

All promotional activities are put together in a mosaic of key moments from the last 25 years to give one large-scale image of the competition.

Thus, the same technic has also been deployed for the graphic execution of the final events. An original action picture has been turned into a mosaic-like art piece and presents the action in a brand new look.

"The sport and the 25th season stand clearly under the spotlight," said David Szlezak, EHF Marketing Managing Director.

"In addition, for the first time in the EHF Champions League history we will use the same artistic approach both for the men’s and women’s final event," Szlezak also revealed.

The sport on its highest level together with its genuine excitement and great emotions has been drawing thousands of fans from all corners of the world to Cologne year after year. The new design for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 is based exactly on these traits. It shows an impressive scene, which underlines passion, power, strength, challenge and team spirit as core values of a handball game.

The adaptation of the key visual with the current campaigns offers an opportunity to communicate "the Road to Cologne feature" much earlier.
