Men´s EHF Challenge Cup Round 2 review

The list of the Men´s EHF Challenge Cup Round 3 was completed last weekend (12-14 October) as four teams made it through from Round 2 tournaments.

Initia Hasselt from Belgium won the Group A played in Pölva, Estonia and will meet Montenegrin RK Sutjeska in Round 3. The hosts Pölva Serviti finished second and in next round they will encounter SKA Minsk from Belarus. OCI Nitrogen-Lions from the Netherlands ranked third and Mavrommatis Ayiou Pavlou from Cyprus fourth as both teams were eliminated.

The Group B tournament was played in Chisinau, Moldova and Lithuania´s Dragūnas claimed the top spot. They will face Ukraine´s ZTR Zaporozhye in Round 3. The second ticket was taken by Cypriotic SPE Strovolos who will play Maccabi "Tyrec" Tel Aviv from Israel. The Moldovan hosts of the tournament Olimpus-85-USEFS ranked third and English club Ruislip Eagles fourth.

From Round 3 on the competition will be played in the knock-out format with home and away matches. The first leg will be played 24-25 November, the second leg one week later.
