The Women’s EHF EURO 2010 in Denmark and Norway will begin on 7 December with the opening game in Larvik between Germany and Sweden.

Exactly 150 days before the biggest women’s handball event of the year, we are taking a look at the preparations. Here’s all you need to know about the event.

Sixteen teams prepareThe biggest rivals of Norway and Denmark qualified for the EURO

The qualification of the EHF EURO 2010 came to an end in May. Ever since, the 14 successful European teams and the two hosting nations have been preparing for the final tournament.

The 16 top teams were divided into four Preliminary Round groups on the 5th of June during a spectacular celebration of the 75-year old Danish Handball Federation.

The official website of the EHF EURO 2010, www.ehf-euro.com/DEN-NOR2010, has been covering the qualification period and the draw events as well.

The service will intensify as we get closer to the tournament and the website will offer its full service – news coverage, match reports, statistics, live streaming, photo galleries, etc – during the two weeks of the EHF EURO.

Book your tickets for Lillehammer and the other four arenasIf you are among the lucky ones thinking about travelling to Denmark or Norway to see a couple of games, don’t forget to secure your tickets in time.

Ticket sales will be launched on 18 August.

Media accreditation

The last European Championship in Austria welcomed over 1,000 media representatives reporting from the venues around the clock. Denmark and Norway promise similarly remarkable hospitality, perfect working conditions and experiences for the media.

The exclusively online accreditation will open on 10 September. Journalists are welcome to submit their application by 30 October at the latest. More information will be coming up in due time!
