EHF EURO matches live on Sport1
Sport1 is to follow the progress of the German men’s and women’s national teams in the EHF’s flagship national team competitions as the TV station acquires the rights to broadcast matches from EHF EURO competitions.
The free-to-air channel will broadcast the away qualifying games of Germany's national men's team for the EHF EURO 2016 in Poland and the EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia live and exclusive in Germany and live in Austria and Switzerland across all platforms.
As part of the agreement, Sport1 will show Germany’s upcoming EHF EURO 2016 qualifying matches against Spain on 2/3 May 2015 and Finland on 10/11 June 2015.
Sport1 will also show the German women’s away qualifiers for the EHF EURO 2016 tournament in Sweden and the EHF EURO 2018 in France. The qualification period for the 2016 tournament will start in October 2015.
Women’s EHF EURO 2014 live
As part of the long-term agreement, brokered by Infront Sports and Media, the EHF's media and marketing partner for the EHF EURO events, Sport1 will show the matches of the German women’s team live from the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 in Hungary and Croatia.
The tournament will be played from 7 to 21 December 2014 and Germany will start their preliminary round campaign in Varazdin on 8 December against Sweden, Netherlands and hosts Croatia.
