European Masters 2026 ready to take centre stage in Portugal

Each year, the EHF European Masters Handball Championship brings together former athletes of the game in a unique event that promotes physical activity and networking, while fostering healthy competition and fair play in an engaging atmosphere.

The 2026 edition brings together 61 teams competing for trophies across six advanced age categories, with four venues ready to host exciting matches in the four days of the event: Pavilhão Desportivo Municipal das Manteigadas I and II, Pavilhão Antoine Velge and Agrupamento de Escolas Lima de Freitas.

All 2025 champions are confirmed for this year’s event and will have another chance to reach the top step of the podium. On the women’s side, Danish teams ScandiStars (women +33) and Lynge Uggeloese (women +43) hope to add another trophy to their collections after last year’s accomplishments. CPB Rennes (men +35), BM Granada Veteranos (men +45), Kolding IF (men +50) and Budapest Old Boys (men +55) start the men’s tournaments as defending champions for their respective categories, aiming for another successful campaign.
