Official Beach Handball Promotion Video released
Two weeks out of the season-closing EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup (26 to 29 October on Gran Canaria) and in the wake of the sport’s Olympic debut next year at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, the European Handball Federation has released its new official beach handball promotion video.
The two-minute-long clip features the best scenes from the most recent events, including the Beach Handball EURO 2017 in Zagreb and the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup 2016.
The Beach Handball EURO 2017 received worldwide attention as it was broadcast live not only in Europe, but also in the US as well as in several Asian countries, underlining the continuous development of the sport in and beyond Europe.
The European beach handball season will come to a close at the end of this month with the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup, the gathering of twelve men’s and twelve women’s national champions on the island of Gran Canaria from 26 to 29 October.
2018 will then mark a major step forward in the sport’s development as it debuts at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games; it is the first time that beach handball is played at Olympic level.
