Nenad Kljaić returns

Just four days before important home match against Barcelona, Croatia osiguranje Zagreb appoints new head coach.

Kljaić returns to coaching after two and a half years. He was replaced in summer 2006 by Lino Cervar as head coach in Zagreb. Cervar then was followed by the duo Maglajlija-Bašić in February 2009. And now Kljaić is returning instead of them.

“Top priority is to wake up the whole team, improve our defence because we receive too many goals. In offence we must use Balić much more than before,“ said coach of CO Zagreb.

Assistant coach will be Vladimir Jelčić and goalkeeper coach Vlado Šola who was also appointed sports director of the club. All three of them signed contracts until 2012.

The newly appointed trio have enormous experience as players (winning WCh and Olympic gold medals). It is expected that this sudden change or shock therapy will prove useful for the team.
